Transportation planning involves analyzing numerous elements in order to provide for a harmonious development. Among these elements are: adequate and convenient access, roadway systems capable of accommodating the traffic associated with the development uses, sufficient parking, proper signing, etc.
DeShazo, Tang & Associates (DT&A) is currently involved in governmental standards imposed for various mixed-use developments, access criteria, roadway requirements, and other factors. DT&A provides traffic impact analyses, conceptual planning and functional parking designs, traffic control and signing, signal warrant analysis, and roadway and access design.
DeShazo, Tang, & Associates have completed numerous professional site plans for large format commercial, institutional and residential development sites. Our team is working with several communities within Tulsa to develop, maintain and upgrade recreation sports complexes, subdivisions, retail malls, medical offices, business parks and educational facilities.
Site planning includes concept layouts for maximum density, compatibility with site conditions, considerations for drainage and ingress and egress for accessibility. Once site planning is complete, the client has a more enhanced view of the site’s overall appearance and compatibility with his initial vision. DT&A staff works closely with the client and other professionals to meet the vision of the client while maintaining good engineering principles.
DeShazo, Tang, & Associates evaluate your project from top to bottom and guide you from the point of conception, through the design phase to completion. Our extensive experience in the water and wastewater services allows each project to receive complete, comprehensive attention with cost-effective solutions.
Our engineers’ specific experience consists of distribution system analysis modeling, municipal treatment technologies, pumping facilities, raw water supply, sanitary sewer collection and conveyance systems, storage facilities, rate modeling/analysis, and cost of services studies. DT&A also works with local, state and federal regulation and funding agencies.
DT&A provides consultation and detailed plans for retention systems for structural excavation sites for large and small commercial facilities. Subterranean parking facilities and subsurface foundation excavations within developed central business districts require a minimal footprint excavation to avoid vehicular circulation delays, minimize construction cost and avoid utility conflicts. DT&A engineers provide such retention systems by use of sheet piling and bored anchoring systems for site-specific applications.
Design of retaining walls for residential and commercial applications for site restricted locations including: cast concrete, earth retention systems, stacked mass systems and vegetative sloped earth systems.
DT&A engineers have designed highway and pedestrian bridges to meet the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), city, county and Federal Highway Association (FHWA) guidelines. Load Factor Design (LFD), Load Factor and Resistance Design (LRFD), and design yield criteria are facilitated by in-house engineering.
